Kantaris is a new media player based on code from Videolan client (VLC) and Bass audio library. Kantaris has a graphical user interface similar to that of Windows Media Player.
Version 0.6.6 works with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
Download Kantaris 0.6.6 Installer (14.4 MB) or as a zip containing the files (24.4 MB)

Pretty much everything is improved upon.

Updated to vlc 0.9.9 source code.
Support for Real Video files.
New faster GUI and other performance improvements.
New Skin by Jonathan Blois.
Improved RAR archives support.

Why it is not working on my two computers with vista x86 and x64, also on w7 x64 ):
When I click on movie trailers or video library tab, popup an error “unhandled exepction has occured in application (..) could not load file or assembly “D3DApp.”
I check kantaris webpage everyday, waiting for new version, now when it comes … Zonk.

I just updated to the newer versions and like Wesolutka, Nothing works on my Vista X64. I had minor problems with ver 4.3 I was using on Vista but they were minimal and I liked the program. Would like to use it and will wait for fixes….

I haven’t tried on x64 but i am also running win 7 ultimate and got no problems.
Can you just send exception details to info@kantaris.org
