Blame it on Vista User Account Control (UAC)
I hate UAC and you probably do too if you have tried to install Kantaris 0.5.5 or 0.5.6 in the “program files” directory on a Vista system with UAC activated. I still don’t know why UAC wouldn’t let Kantaris run from that directory but I’ve changed a few thing I could think of and now Kantaris 0.5.7 runs fine.

I just wanted to give you my congratulation for this great player. I took the liberty of submitting it to NONAGS.COM where I’m a subscriber for over 10 years now, and they not only gave kantaris their highest rating 6/6 but they gave it the editors award. Believe me they don’t do that often!

Here’s a few things that need improving.
when playing mp3
1 Bottom left, the font is tiny and bold, hard to read, not bold would help
2 more info there, maybe bitrate
3 also when we like the window smal the info at the bottom left gets cut, combined with bold font it’s almost useless.
4 more info about the file playing somewhere… location, bitrate, etc etc. like winamp in it;s glory days… ;)
I know… easy for me to say, I wish I was a programmer and I would lend a hand. Unfortunately I ???? ?? sell underware. :(

nice player – unfortunately I can’t get the last.fm thing to work. – from an up to date XP PC in Germany.
‘Genre’ doesn’t do anything although it says its playing ”, ‘Similar artists’ is giving an exception (displaying some JIT-Debugging info). Please contact me if you want to pursue this error further…

1. Please use tooltip for your controls.
2. The Openfiledialog you used when adding songs doesn’t have a filter and the filename it’s Openfiledialog1.
Hi, I don’t know why kantaris trailers doesn’t work anymore. I didn’t seem to have problem before. Music is fine but trailers viewing won’t let me…. help.. I love this player so much and it’s just frustrating how I can’t get it to play.
